Latin name: Vaccinium ‘Chippewa’

Origin: North America; developed in Minnesota

Description:

  • 3-4 feet compact and upright. Leaves turn red in fall
  • Mid season  with medium to large size berries;
  • Soil ph 4.5-5.5
  • Takes 2-3 years to begin bearing

Maintenance: planted 10/2014; plant may have died; moved and dug in peat and blueberry fertilizer from NOFA 4/12/15.
